Per new allegations from a informant, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, currently serving a 20-year prison term for sex-trafficking crimes, is allegedly readying a commutation application for consideration by the presidential administration.

Special Treatment Claimed at Correctional Facility

House Democrats on the judicial oversight panel announced that a whistleblower provided information indicating Maxwell is preparing the commutation application. They also stated she has been given preferential conditions at the minimum-security facility in Texas.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the committee, declared in a news release that the facility's chief was assisting Maxwell with copying, printing, and sending documents to support her bid for executive mercy.

The exact content of the “commutation application” are unclear, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Custom Arrangements

Raskin states that, per the insider, the prisoner has been given specially prepared food that are “personally delivered” to her cell, and the supervisor has individually organized private meetings for Maxwell and her visitors.

The visits reportedly involve a “special cordoned-off area” for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her guests.

Maxwell’s visitors were also reportedly permitted to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an exceptional measure given the potential danger and potential for unsupervised contact.

In one alleged instance, when communications failed for other inmates, Maxwell was provided directions about who she should tell her contacts to contact and how personnel would relay the call to her.

Warden as “Personal Secretary”

The source also allegedly told congressional members that when Maxwell wanted to examine and modify papers “quickly”, she “essentially used” the official as her private aide.

The statement indicates that those writing to her would send files directly to the supervisor, who would hand them over to the inmate, for her to examine and change and provide them back to the warden to scan and provide to the initial correspondent.

Extra Benefits Reported

Further perks reportedly provided to her include time to “play with” a service dog puppy – a benefit typically prohibited – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the prison exercise area.

Maxwell’s attorney has not yet replied to a request for comment regarding the whistleblower’s claims.

Through a spokesperson, the presidential office said that it “does not comment” on possible pardon appeals.

“Per the President's remarks, pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the spokesperson noted.

Recent Background

Over the weekend, reports surfaced that Maxwell told close associates in emails from prison that she was more content at the Texas facility than her previous prison.

In August, she was transferred from a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida to the less restrictive prison in the state, where most detainees are incarcerated for non-violent offenses and white-collar crimes.

The transfer, which authorities called as exceptional, occurred just shortly following she was questioned about the Epstein case by the deputy attorney general, the official, who also previously served as the President's personal lawyer.

That interview came as the administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the ongoing probe and amid widespread conjecture around the President's own personal ties to the fallen billionaire and convicted sex offender, who was found dead in a New York jail in that year while facing trial on sex-trafficking charges.

Lawmaker Reactions

Through the statement, Raskin also revealed that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, requesting explanations about the insider's claims, and urged the chief executive to reject Maxwell’s commutation request.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any type of pardon to this adjudicated and remorseless criminal,” Raskin wrote in the document. “Your Administration should not be providing her with room service, with canine interaction, with federal law enforcement officials waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or institutional privilege at all.”

The congressman asked that the official attend a open legislative session to address the disclosures and also presented several inquiries to the President.

He inquired whether he had talked about a potential commutation for the convict with Blanche or others, whether he had directed Blanche or anyone else to provide Maxwell with the move or favorable and preferential treatment in detention, and whether Maxwell, her lawyers, relatives or agents have made any commitments to the President or his attorneys.

The representative requested for a reply to the questions by 24 November.
